The Moortop Heaton Moor
A collaboration with Adrian Taylor Design.
We worked alongside Adrian to design the lighting scheme in The Moortop, Stockport. Here we used classic school house pendants with brass galleries which hang above the bar area. Large opaline pendants with brass galleries are hung the drinking area. Over the dining spaces are large eight and six arms traditional brass down lighters which were all polished and restored by Agapanthus. The wall lights are an eclectic mix of antique shades and vintage shades. These are hung on a longer braided flex and antiqued brass fittings to enable them to hang from the ceiling as pendants. In the dining area is an amethyst teardrop waterfall chandelier hangs above the table alongside ornate brass French wall lights with crystal droppers. Bespoke shallow glass pendants were made for the raised areas
In the dining area the Agapanthus team completed the painting work by stencilling a geometric pattern using a blush pink emulsion. This added warmth to the cool blue painted wooden panelling.
The artwork and mirrors were also supplied by Agapanthus. Using framed original bird plates and French fish plates and other interesting art works. Agapanthus also supplied all the books, bottles and pottery and arranged these on the metal framework and shelves.
