This striking light probably originates from 1950s Italy. Its transparent swooping glass arms are punctuated with black glass bobeche pans, whilst the central stem emulates the medieval Flemish tradition of having a light reflective central ball, which is, in this example, polished black glass. The central ball does have some damage but this is not particularly visible once hung. There are five lamps, black braiding and a chrome effect ceiling rose. This light would look fabulous in a contemporary space.
