Late 1800s English Crystal Balloon Chandelier
SOLD
This decorative crystal balloon chandelier originates from the late 1800s and is made of quality crystal. This chandelier has an upper circular brass tier with decorative leaf details from which crystal button swags hang to form the tent connecting it to the outer tier. The outer tier has 6 brass leaves connected with strings of beads. Below the outer tier more crystal buttons swags form the lower balloon. The base of the light features a piece of cut glass surrounded by crystal icicles hanging on cut crystal buttons. The brass frame and decorative pieces have naturally oxidised over time. The chandelier has one lamp the main body of the chandelier. The chandelier comes supplied with braided flex, chain, a ceiling rose and a chandelier hook plate. Chandelier requires a B22 bulb, this is not included.
This chandelier has been fully restored and rewired here, in Stockport, near Manchester by our small team of professionals and is now ready to be installed. We recommend that this chandelier is installed by an electrician into a joist or a supporting noggin. To clean the chandelier dust the brass regularly with a soft cloth. The crystal droppers can then be wiped with a glass cleaner wipe or a cloth that has been sprayed with glass cleaner. A final wipe with a paper towel will give a polished finish.
