An English, elm and beech bow seat, dating from early 20th century. Superb country house appeal with the classic bow form.
Worn aged patina. The upper rail crowned with a prominent arched back rest for added comfort and support with turned spindles rise supporting the striking horseshoe armrest with each arm featuring out-turned scrolled hand grips. Standing upon a quartet of stout baluster legs united by a ‘double H’ frame stretcher. This is a wonderful antique captain’s Chair. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
