Early 1900s Crystal Beaded Balloon Chandelier
This original crystal balloon ‘ghost’ chandelier is a delicate piece. The main body of the chandelier is made from strings of crystal beads, the frame features cut crystal prisms and four outer lamps surrounded by beaded bobéche pans. The lower balloon beaded swags join and a ring of crystal icicles finish the piece. We have added an internal lamp which is concealed and illuminates the lower portion of chandelier. The chandelier comes supplied with braided flex, chain, a ceiling rose and a chandelier hook plate. Chandelier requires four E14 lamps and one B22, these are not included.
This chandelier has been fully restored and rewired here, in Stockport, near Manchester by our small team of experts and is now ready to be installed. We recommend that this balloon chandelier is installed by an electrician and into a joist or a supporting noggin. To clean the chandelier dust the frame and crystal components regularly with a soft cloth. The drops can then be wiped with a glass wipe or a cloth that has been sprayed with glass cleaner. A final wipe with a paper towel will give a polished finish.
