This 1920s English crystal chandelier is a stunning piece. The outer ring has glass buttons attached to the frame from which crystal icicles and large cut glass harlequin heard drops hangs. The top tent section has swags made up of cut crystal buttons and glass coffin lids. More swags of buttons and crystal icicles decorate the top section. The frame is made of thin brass which has naturally oxidised over time. Beneath the outer ring more cut crystal button swags with glass coffin lids drape to form the lower balloon attached to a smaller brass ring finished with a crystal rosette and spike. The chandelier has a single lamp which is concealed and illuminates the main body of the light. The chandelier comes supplied with braided flex, chain, a ceiling rose and a chandelier hook plate. Chandelier requires a B22 bulb, this is not included.
This chandelier has been fully restored and rewired here, in Stockport, near Manchester by our small team of experts and is now ready to be installed. We recommend that this chandelier is installed by an electrician and into a joist or a supporting noggin. To clean the chandelier dust the brass components regularly with a soft cloth. The crystal drops can then be wiped with a glass wipe or a cloth that has been sprayed with glass cleaner. A final wipe with a paper towel will give a polished finish.
