Gilt Chandelier
SOLD
This gilt chandelier originates from early 1900s France. Dressed in various shapes of glass flat leaf drops and faceted icicles it is an ornate centre piece. Flat leaf glass drops hang from the arms and upper crowns, whilst the faceted icicles are suspended from the bobèche pans. Each drop is finished with one or multiple glass buttons. The chandelier frame is made from ornate heavy cast bronze and holds eight lamps in total. The chandelier comes supplied with braided flex, chain, a ceiling rose and a chandelier hook plate. Chandelier requires SES lamps, these are not included.
This chandelier has been fully restored and rewired here, in Stockport, near Manchester by our small team of experts and is now ready to be installed. We recommend that this gilt chandelier is installed by an electrician and into a joist or a supporting noggin. To clean the chandelier dust the bronze components regularly with a soft cloth. The glass drops can then be wiped with a glass wipe or a cloth that has been sprayed with glass cleaner. A final wipe with a paper towel will give a polished finish.
The chandelier is currently located at Phoenix on Golbourne Road, London.
